In SER Mindfulness we understand Body Awareness as an essential element for well-being not only physical but also psychological and emotional. With the practices we propose, we develop our ability to decide where to put our attention at any moment: if I allow it to remain unconsciously kidnapped by thoughts and emotions that reinforce my discomfort, stress and anxiety, or I decide freely and consciously to let my attention rest in the body sensations and in the flow of the breathing, thus opening the door to serenity, balance and inner peace.
In addition, the body is the place where emotions resonate. If, when we face some difficult emotion, instead of getting entangled with our thoughts and “adding fuel to the fire” we simply allow emotion to be present in the body, breathing it and feeling it, beyond words, we will understand that it is possible to cross that emotion without getting caught up in suffering.
In SER Mindfulness we incorporate Body Awareness both in our Mindfulness Training workshops and in Psychotherapy sessions.
Contact us without commitment and we will gladly answer any questions you may have about our proposals.
